“We were launching a new brand in the UK, but with established teams and customers who quite rightly expected business as usual. IT stability and security were fundamental to that confidence”
Matt Stephens, Finance Director – Southeast Motors

When Southeast Motors entered the UK automotive market, it did so through the acquisition of a significant part of the Harwoods Group’s automotive operations. The transaction brought together established Jaguar Land Rover dealerships, premium aftersales operations, and accident repair centres across the South East of England, forming the foundation of Southeast Motors’ UK presence.
Backed by Dubai-based DxB Auto Investments, the acquisition marked the organisation’s first step into the UK market, with a clear ambition to build a long-term, premium-focused automotive retail group while retaining the people, expertise, and local knowledge that had made the acquired businesses successful.
From the outset, it was clear that technology would play a critical role in supporting continuity, customer experience, and future growth.

About Southeast Motors
Southeast Motors is a privately owned automotive retail group serving customers across Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex, Kent, and beyond. Operating under the principle “The Same People, The Same Excellence – A New Name for the Future”, the organisation combines continuity of service with fresh investment and a forward-looking vision.
Representing some of the world’s most renowned automotive brands, including Jaguar Land Rover, Southeast Motors delivers sales, servicing, parts, and accident repair through a growing network of sites across the South East. The organisation is guided by strong values of integrity, accountability, teamwork, and a customer-first approach, ensuring consistent standards across every location.
Entering the UK market through acquisition introduced immediate operational and technical complexity. Southeast Motors needed to ensure that dealership operations continued seamlessly as ownership transferred, staff moved across under TUPE, and systems supporting sales, servicing, parts, and customer data remained secure and available. At the same time, leadership required clear visibility, governance, and confidence that IT and cyber security risks were being actively managed. For a business at the very start of its UK journey, there was no room for instability.
Looking back, Southeast Motors Finance Director Matt Stephens, says
“Day One was about reassurance. Our teams needed to know that support was in place and issues would be handled quickly and professionally. That confidence made a real difference.”

From the moment Southeast Motors assumed ownership of the former Harwoods operations, Day One continuity was critical. Advantage Cloud worked closely with Southeast Motors to ensure that systems, users, and sites were fully supported from the outset, enabling staff to focus on their roles to protect the customer experience. This gave Southeast Motors clear ownership of IT support and escalation.
Vendor and manufacturer systems were coordinated effectively, with a single point of accountability. Proactive monitoring helped identify and mitigate risks early, while a structured governance framework stabilised services post-transition.
Rather than treating Day One as a single event, Advantage Cloud established a foundation for continuous improvement. This enabled Southeast Motors to move quickly from transition to optimisation.
Alongside operational continuity, Southeast Motors also needed to equip several hundred users across multiple remote dealership and service locations with secure, ready-to-use laptops, without introducing delays or on-site configuration overhead.
Advantage Cloud designed and delivered a zero-touch device deployment model using Windows Autopilot, Microsoft Intune, and Microsoft Entra ID. Devices were pre-registered and assigned to users in advance. When a laptop was powered on for the first time, users simply signed in with their corporate credentials. This automatically triggered the configuration of security policies, applications, and access controls.
This approach allowed devices to be shipped directly to locations and end users, ensuring staff were productive from their first login while maintaining a consistent and secure configuration across the estate.
Southeast Motors Group IT Manager, Neal Burton, was confident in the success of the deployment strategy,
“Rolling out new devices across multiple sites could have been a major distraction during our launch. The Autopilot approach meant our teams could simply sign in and get to work. It was seamless.”
Advantage Cloud’s Systems Engineer Scott Williams agreed,
“We use Windows Autopilot extensively in automotive retail because it scales brilliantly. It removes hands-on builds, keeps devices secure from first login, and works perfectly for multi-site dealer groups.”
By establishing a zero-touch deployment model from the outset, Southeast Motors also gained a long-term platform for growth. New starters can be onboarded quickly, device refresh cycles are simplified, and additional sites can be brought online without increasing operational overhead. As the business evolves, the same deployment framework continues to support consistency, security, and control.

Advantage Cloud Solutions delivered a tailored AdvantageONE™ managed IT and security framework, designed to support Southeast Motors through its UK launch and beyond. A structured, multi-tier support model provides responsive day-to-day assistance, overseen by a dedicated Technology Account
Manager working alongside Southeast Motors’ leadership to align IT services with operational and strategic priorities.
Advantage Cloud’s experience supporting automotive retail environments, including multi-site operations, manufacturer platforms, and time-critical systems, ensures services are delivered with sector-specific understanding rather than generic MSP assumptions.
“Automotive retail has its own pressures. Uptime, security, vendor coordination, and customer experience all intersect. Our role is to remove complexity and provide calm, structured support during both critical phases and business as usual.”
Alongside managed IT support, Advantage Cloud implemented a comprehensive IT security service, embedding governance and risk management into the rhythm of the business. This included Cyber Essentials certification, ongoing vulnerability management, cyber security consultancy, and regular risk reviews.
Quarterly IT security steering groups provided leadership-level oversight, ensuring that security decisions remained aligned with business priorities rather than treated as isolated technical issues.
“Security wasn’t something we wanted to address once and move on from. The structured reviews and steering groups give us confidence that risks will be actively managed as the business evolves.”
With Advantage Cloud as its trusted IT partner, Southeast Motors established a secure and stable IT foundation to support its UK operations from the outset. While this ensured continuity through acquisition and transition, the focus quickly moved beyond Day One delivery to long-term operational stability and improvement.
The partnership enabled secure and scalable laptop deployment across hundreds of users, alongside clear visibility of service performance and cyber risk. Vendor and manufacturer system management was simplified, giving leadership greater confidence and control, while a repeatable framework was put in place to support ongoing onboarding, device refresh, and future growth.
As part of the ongoing relationship, Advantage Cloud is also supporting Southeast Motors in exploring AI-driven automation and optimisation opportunities across the business. By reducing manual processes and improving insight, these capabilities are helping the business improve efficiency while maintaining consistent service quality across multiple sites.
Today, Advantage Cloud operates as a trusted extension of Southeast Motors’ leadership and operational teams. Through ongoing managed IT support, security governance, and strategic engagement, the partnership continues to support the organisation as it builds and matures its presence in the UK premium automotive market.
