In order to be certified, businesses must complete a self-assessment questionnaire and undergo an external vulnerability scan. Cyber Essentials Plus is an advanced certification that requires a more rigorous assessment that involves external and internal vulnerability scans, a simulated phishing attack, and an on-site assessment of an organisation’s security controls.
